This is a photo of Earth and the moon taken on October 3, 2007, by the High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment (HiRISE) camera aboard NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter.
This is what we look like from 88 million miles away. You can barely make out South America under the clouds.
NASA fessed up to “brightening” the moon relative to Earth for the photo, but essentially, that’s us.
Image ganked from NASA’s multimedia pages.
