This is an old, old fellow named Polydesmus. One of the first land animals there ever was.
From the image’s description on Wikimedia Commons:
Earth had been conquered 350 million years ago by the representatives of the arthropods, among which were the millipedes (Diplopoda) depicted on the picture. These ground-dwelling animals have a lot of segments with two pairs of legs on them. This individual is a member of a species of Polydesmus; it has a pair of defensive glands on each segment on its back. The photograph was taken by the scanning electron microscope Hitachi S-4700 with 70 times magnification and has been colored in Adobe Photoshop.
